  • I have read Obama's books but I doubt that you have. His views are socailly liberal and econically conservative - supportive of the private sector. The extreme left and extreme right were upset that he wasn't the crazy radical they expected.

  • The article started out with a surprising and positive story - young people aren't so racist. Then it became more gloomy, saying that the miniorities are increasing but aren't overcoming their economic problems.

  • Sorry - commenting on wrong story. Not very surprising that Russia is supporting Syria - consistent with their past policies. Also, Russia and China don't like the concept of other countries intervening in internal struggles - after their struggles in Chechnia, Tibet, etc.
